For instance, I have a shortcut on my desktop for PHOTOSHOP. To create a new keyboard shortcut for PHOTOSHOP, I will need to combine certain keys on the keyboard; the new shortcut key I created will automatically launch Photoshop with just a click.

Steps to Create New Keyboard Shortcuts

  1. Right-click on the software or application for which you want to create a shortcut.
  2. Select Properties. A page will pop up, and you will see an option labeled Shortcut key. Choose a preferred key for your shortcut, then apply the shortcut key.

NOTE: When creating a new shortcut key, ensure to use a combination of Ctrl and Alt before the alphabet for the shortcut. For instance: Ctrl + Alt + W (The “W” could be any alphabet depending on your preference).

Click APPLY > OK to save it. After saving, try tapping the shortcut key on your keyboard; it should launch the program you set it for.
