After applying for monetization on your page, there are several things you should check because ads are not automatically placed on content.

Before Facebook places ads on your content, they ensure your site is reviewed to check for violations of their Content Monetization Policies.

To understand your monetization status and the factors leading to low earnings, read below:

  • Monetized: This means advertisers are willing and able to advertise on your content - your video is making money.
  • Not Monetized: This status indicates that you are eligible for review but ads are not yet enabled for this video.
  • Can't be Monetized: This status suggests that your video might be too short for ads, does not meet the program requirements, or does not follow Facebook community standards.
  • Limited or No Monetization: This indicates that your video may not be appropriate for most advertisers or does not meet the content monetization policies. This can imply reduced earnings or no monetization.
  • Pending Review: Your video is under review. Once completed, the status will change to either Monetized or Limited or No Monetization. Videos can still earn some revenue from ads while under review.

Note: The review period for your content can take a while. If you believe your content is good for monetization but you receive an error, send a one-time appeal to Facebook.
